The Simatic/TI 505 Ethernet driver works in conjunction with TOP Server® to provide data exchange between OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink and DDE clients and PLCs using the SIMATIC CAMP/CAMP Packed Task Code protocols over TCP or UDP Ethernet.
It is intended for use in communicating with Simatic/TI 505 Programmable Logic Controllers via a CTI2572 or a CP1434-TCP Ethernet card in the PLC rack to provide the ethernet connection on the PLC.
Wide 5x5 Model Support & flexible addressing and data types
- Supports TCP/IP and UDP Ethernet transport
- Supports PLC memory coverage broadly (including areas such as drums, alarms, and loops)
- Supports multiple simultaneous device connections to improve throughput
- Supports both 0-based and 1-based bit addressing, plus configurable bit order, for common address families (for example V, K, WX, WY, STW, and loop/alarm types)
- Supports CAMP and Packed Task Code protocol formats
- Supports Ethernet Encapsulation for using Ethernet-to-Serial converter
- Multi-threaded architecture for high scalability
