The TOP Server ODBC Client Bridge Driver provides a communication interface to databases as long as the database has an ODBC interface available (examples include Access, SQL Server, Oracle, and others).
The driver is positioned as a bridge from database data to OPC UA, OPC DA, and AVEVA SuiteLink. It can read and write database data using four access methods: fixed table, dynamic table, query, and stored procedure. The driver can automatically generate tags in TOP Server based on tables, queries, and stored procedures.
Data acquisition is optimized based on upstream client demand, and data integrity is supported via extensive error handling.
