The TOP Server IOtech PointScan 100 Driver provides a communication interface to IOtech PointScan data acquisition devices with the same level of performance, stability and ease of configuration as any other TOP Server driver.
It enables data exchange between OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink and PointScan Ethernet RTUs using the Modbus OPEN Protocol over Ethernet. It utilizes UDP socket communications to provide maximum performance with minimal overhead, optimizing data acquisition based on upstream client demand while data integrity is ensured using extensive error handling.
This driver is available as a standalone real-time data driver or as part of the TOP Server Manufacturing Suite (a vertical Industry Suite bundle). Users can purchase the driver individually or within the Manufacturing Suite for a bundled value.
- βHigh Capacity Support β Supports up to 100 channels and 1024 devices per channel (practical limits depend on system resources)
- βComplete I/O Access β Access to both analog and discrete I/O points; supports all data types
- βOptimized Data Transfer β Uses AVEVA's native InTouch External Database Access (IEDA) toolkit for direct communications
- βWide Version Compatibility β Adjustable coil and register blocking for optimized bulk read/write operations
